Ideal beans to make chili with full bodied flavour. Remember to cook all beans and lentils in our vegetable stock for exceptional flavour. Make easy chili with chopped leaks, dry stir fried, with red peppers and tomato puree and or tinned tomatoes or some over ripe fresh tomatoes. Add our chili pesto (see week 3 in 100 days to health program), some corn off the cob, chopped red pepper and tomato puree. Adjust seasoning with our Organic Garlic & Herb salt.
Buckwheat is not actually a grain it is a herb and is gluten free. For delicious buckwheat recipes, like buckwheat pancakes, see The Natural Way Recipe Book 1 pages 112-116). Rich in B-Complex, calcium and other minerals. Cook 1 part buckwheat (bring to the boil & simmer with our veg stock for amazing flavor) to 3 parts water for 45-50 minutes.

Quinoa is a high protein food, related to spinach and beets, even though it looks and tastes like a grain.
